Even with the auto system it is very easy to tell when a rabbit quits drinking because its usually the same time they quit eating. I also like it because its easy to disinfect and treat all the rabbits if need be.

I have raised satins for years and I find them to be very nice rabbits. They are plenty big for meat and fur. They have great fur and often very good dispositions. I am also a big fan of american sables.

With Mini Rex I usually wait 6 months to breed the first time. Bucks sometimes I give a little longer depending on their development. I know the books say they can breed at 3 and 4 but I would not.

I feed and sell kalmbach rabbit pellets and have been extremely pleased with them. Rabbits seam to do really well and I never have leftovers in the bowls.
