I take my nestboxes right out at two weeks, and while small the babies seem to do well. The only thing I do after that is add a brick so they can easily get to the pellets, hay and water valves.

I also wean at four weeks. I rebreed my does at around 7-10 days after birth, so that gives the doe roughly a week/week and a half baby free.

I have a doe that does that. She was bred for the first time a few weeks ago and has done that every time I've walked into the hutch since. I always figured she was still upset with me and wanted to take every chance to let me know.

Thanks everyone. Sadly, after going to the hutch for my mid day check, i found the last baby passed away. So what would cause enteritis on such a large scale? I normally have maybe 1 or 2 pass from large litters due to it, but never have i had so many deaths within days of each other.
