    Fur Pillow for Christmas

Thanks 3mina, at least if I decide to do another one I have a better idea of how to sew it all together. I am the worst sewer, so that was my biggest challenge. Dood, the pelts are all standard rex, all from the same litter. The nearest I could tell, they were seal. They were around 5 months...

    Fur Pillow for Christmas

Hi everyone, it's been a long time since I've been here. I thought I would drop by, say hello, and tell you about my very first completed rabbit fur project. I actually made this for my daughter last year for Christmas and even though it looks MOST unprofessional, my daughter still cherishes it...

    vermicomposting (worm beds) using RabbitPoo!

Vermicomposting is something I believe in with all my heart, and I think it's wonderful to inform people about it's benefits. Having said that, I have a question... It is? Maybe if someone is not familiar with what a composting worm looks like perhaps. And maybe if the bin will be indoors...

I made some this morning, and I LOVE the flavor. I'm going...

    I have Alum!!!

These your first pelts Truckinguy? Wow, GOOD job! My first ones looked like roadkill, lol. I agree. I find young rabbits much easier to do than the older ones. When I did one of the Sr. rabbits last year it took hours to flesh. Holy, my arms were aching after that, lol. The hide was much...

    Lonely

Yes, I actually do break the hides by hand, and they are pretty easy easy to do if it's a fryer sized rabbit. The older thicker skinned rabbits though, omgosh they can sure make your arms tired, lol. You know how the pelt starts turning white when you break it? If you take it and rub it...

    vermicomposting (worm beds) using RabbitPoo!

As far as using worm and rabbit manure to grow plants, the comparison of the two is like comparing an apple with a squash. Both are good for you nutritionally, but contain different vitamins and minerals. If you look at worm compost for example, it is full of beneficial mesophilic bacteria...
