OK thanks guys! That's what I was hoping to hear. He seems to be doing fine so I will just keep an eye on him.
It was just so shocking to see such a huge scab on a brand new baby!
I posted this in Kindling category last night but wanted to see if I could get some responses sooner posting it here. Sorry if that's not ok. I can delete one! Just want some opinions.

I just had my rex doe kindle her first litter with us. She has been with us almost a year and that was the first time we bred her. I believe her previous owner bred her, but I am not sure.. so it's possible this is her first litter but if not, its her first in a long time.
She kindled this...
Finally got one of our 9 holes set up. It's giant and we now have nowhere to put our other 9 hole but that's ok because we don't have nearly enough rabbits to fill the first 2 cages anyway. Time for more rabbits!
Got my two angoras and a rex doe in this one
Beautiful pups Zass!! I am curious as to what exactly your dogs' diets are. What kibble do you use? And how much rabbit is in their diet? How and when do you feed the rabbit?
I really like the sound of this because I only raise my own rabbits and chickens and was worried about having to find...
All 3 of my does so far have started haystaching on day 21. The only false pregnancy I had, she started haystaching and pulling fur on like day 12. I would say it's safe to assume she will kindle, but you honestly never know with rabbits.
This is a very good point and I have been thinking about it a lot. That is why I don't think I would be comfortable fully feeding raw. But I have also heard that mixing raw and kibble isn't good either. It is very apparent that nobody really knows. This subject is definitely not black and white...
So what are some ways that you can mess up feeding raw? You mentioned the veggies.. What else? And what are the consequences? As long as you feed good percentages of everything and give them a balanced diet, everything I have read tells me they will thrive. So what happens if you don't get that...
I have been extremely excited lately because my dogs that would previously never touch anything that was raw, recently devoured raw rabbit. It was the first thing I could get either of my two super picky Australian Shepherds to take. I let them split the back strap and they crunched it down in a...
Wow, really? I have never heard that. I follow a lot of people on instagram that breed AmChins for meat and they all rave about them.
This litter that I am having trouble with was sired by my breeders' older buck. I actually have not had a chance to breed MY AmChin buck with my Cali doe yet...
I am trying! I just saw another ad on CL from 17 days ago that's advertising stainless steel cages for $250!! I am calling them today but I am not hopeful that they still have any.

-- Wed May 18, 2016 9:00 am --

Turns out that there is a rabbit breeding facility that...
Thanks so much for your input. I am going to up their feed a large amount. I was having a lot of cage and feeder issues before. But I got a new cage with some slightly bigger feeders. I am also working from home now and I can check on their food much more often. I feel awful that I most likely...
That is what I am thinking (hoping) is the problem. I have since gotten better feeders and waterers so I reallyy hope that will solve the issue and that this won't happen again with any litters going forward.
Hmm well that would surely suck. What would some other signs be? Their poops seem perfect. Lots of hay when you break them open. No mucus-y poops or anything. They seem to eat and drink a normal amount. If this is due to parasites, what do I do about it? They seem perfectly healthy, minus being...
I feed them Manna Pro. I believe it is around 16%. Plus hay and some occasional fodder and forage (fresh grass clippings and dandelions). I bought the doe as a proven breeder so I am not sure about her background. I would say she is nearly 10 pounds but need to weigh her to verify. And yes the...
