I have attempted to breed her for the longest time. Is this a precursor to laying? Could it be a sign of another issue.....It is evening when I first realized it. I found it in the nesting box as well as it fallen through the netting....
thoughts?
....no condolences necessary... :). I acquired these 3 weeks ago and it was in the cage with another female. I planned on moving them out soon. They were happy and seem happy to see us. There were no injuries or blood as if in a fight. My only conclusion is that they might have been too happy...
pregnancy?
I tried multiple times to get a doe to breed. She now sqwaaks at me, seems grouchy and flipped around as if to bite. I really can't feel her stomach to feel for babies. But, I do feel her teats and they are raised up...not like my other doe that had babies 3 weeks ago....
So.....is...
I am raising meat rabbits. I read somewhere that you could realistically re-breed at 4 weeks and likely ween the current litter a couple weeks later.
Have any of you been successful at that?

Here is my question. the cage part is 6 feet long. The bottom and two side pieces are joined together. My question, will this be too flimsy?
THanks
My buck cage is around 24x24. I have always heard that you don't want too big a breeding cage. You don't want the doe out running the buck....true or false?
I have tried multiple attempts in breeding this doe. However, today, I put her in with the buck. She hopped around but began sqwaking and grunting. Was she in the mood and playing hard to get or could she already be pregnant?
thoughts? Thanks.
