As mentioned in the first post, I already got him neutered. :)

__________ Sun Mar 22, 2015 12:24 pm __________

Yes, I did. :)
Okay, thanks.
About hay though, how can I get him to eat it? I always have hay in his cage and in his hay holder, but he hardly touches it.
He does eat his veggies well though.
Well, I do not like the Vitasmart. Kirito picks out the flaked corn and grains and leaves the rest until he realizes I'm not going to keep topping off his food, then he will eat the pellets.
Oxbow is $12 for a 5 pound bag, but my price is $5 for the bag.
I used to buy Mana Pro for my meat...
That's great! Thank you :)
What food would you suggest I use for him? He is currently eating a mix of Vitasmart Rabbit Food (its a mix of corn, pellets and grains... it was what his previous owners had so I've been mixing it) and Oxbow Bunny Basics Young Rabbit.
Also, I will be getting a baby...
Well, I know I haven't been here in a while. My phone won't let me get on this site... It recognizes it as harmful.
I no longer have my breeding pair of meat bunnies... My set up needed too much work for me to do right now, so they went to a guy who already had meat breeders, but he didn't...
I looked at Small World and it seemed (if I remember correctly) to be mostly grain based, and I thought rabbits needed less grains and more grass hay in pellet food?
I'll see if I can order any of those brands from my work. We can order things that aren't on the shelves.
As for the Oxbow and how long it stays on the shelf- Its an item that sells regularly and we often check the dates of all things on our shelves that has an expiration date.
The Purina...
For now I'm feeding my 2 and 3 month old rabbits (I have a pair) Oxbow Young Rabbit pellets because I get them for half price.
Is Oxbow a decent quality pellet food? I've compared ingredients and I've narrowed it down to using either Oxbow or Zupreem (from my work), but I'm sure we can probably...
I'm not really sure on breeds that I like. I like sweet temperments and a variety of color (even broken of a certain color).
I like cottontails, but I've never had any. I just love the agouti color.
Nice avatar of El-ahairah :D
I believe the breeder's rabbits are good natured. They sell them as pets, breeders or meat.
Thanks. I'll browse those boards.
Also, can breeder rabbits even be pets? Perhaps I should just get an altered rabbit for a pet and just let the breeders be breeders?
I think I've decided that I want to breed one of the heritage breeds. (There is a breeder near me that breeds Silver Foxes)
Why a heritage breed? Because it appeals to me that they can eat things from around my house. I enjoy foraging for my animals. Its what I most enjoy about having degus is...
