Make your own rabbit feed: Thoughts?

Haven't tried it... but it sounds like a lot of work when you can feed alfalfa hay and whole grains and get very similar nutrients. Whole raw foods are my preference, although this recipe might be nice to have around for treats. Bunnies do seem fond of biscuits.
I'd think that's for someone with one or two rabbits? lots of work...but good nutrition. Might be worthwhile printing up for people who buy pets and want to give them special treats?
It would be a great way to use up the "fines" that drop off the alfalfa hay. I've been feeding them to the geese this winter but other times they have often been wasted... composted, so its not a total waste, but still.

heh. I just scoop up the leaves that fall off the alfalfa hay and put them in a bowl after a day of bunnies eating the bigger ones, I added some ground wheat/baley and applejuice until it was not WET but would hold together. Went over really well.
