To give us all some inspiration for naming our beloved...or not so beloved...buns, I had the idea of making a thread, totally given to rabbit names! You can list as any or as little names as you want :) Past rabbits, present, or names you might use in the future!

Twono - he looked like my other buck, Uno, so added "two" to "uno" and got Twono....original, I know :D

We only name our keepers and number the ones who are moving on. On paper that's actually a lot of rabbits for a 5 month period. :eek:

I try to "officially" name mine only if they're keepers for an extended time or need to be on the pedigree. Several names you listed are ones we've use, too. Rock names (we used to be jewelers and did lapidary work and owned a rock shop...). We have lots of recycled names we use for temporary until we know we want to keep the rabbit. Foo-foo is a common name given to any REW that doesn't really have her own name yet. Gildaen for any Chestnut (after the book, which is a family favorite)....

Wow! I love seeing all the names!

We try not to name our meat... but it happens~ today I sent Harry Junior and Ghost Town to camp along with a number of no names (numbered).
I know what you mean about the numbers in a short time... we have had buns since March of this year!)

My first rabbit was Duchess. A big name for a tiny bunny, but she grew into it. She had to have been a Flemish Giant.

The main goal is for all of them to have a different letter, then they are each assigned a color so when I do records I can just glance through the first column to find their color/letter making the info search much easier.
