I have a great holland lop doe. She is a grand champion and great mother with a great personality. The original breeder has offered to buy her back and another breeder asked to buy her. We love her and can not imagine letting her go. We also have her daughter and another great doe.

So I know she is great, but I have read that a good buck is important. Here is lopsy, he is just over a year old. He is on the smaller size and weighs 3 1/2 pounds (compared to Jaylene) I can get another buck or one of the breeders offered to breed her buck to get a kit. But if Lopsy is worthy we will keep using him. (They gave us some cute kits recently. They are three weeks old)

Thank you

Disclaimer: I am very new to Hollands. Take everything I say with a grain of salt! ;)

He's cute but his crown looks a little far back to me, but anything can look strange in a photo and so maybe he's perfect in person. The avatar of my little Diva doe looks awful but when you see her for real, she's amazing, for example.

I love this site but don't know for sure how accurate it is: http://oakridgerabbitry.weebly.com/holl ... -type.html

Its hard to say without seeing the doe and whether they compliment each other. He does look long in the shoulder and his crown appears to be placed too far back. However that may not be an issue depending on the doe! He has nice bone; but need a front shot of his chest and head plus his butt to tell anymore. He looks young and if he is then rest assured he may just get better as he ages more! Some Holland lines don't look really good until well over a year and sometimes into their second year.Overall he is a decent buck, its just that you don't want to "double up" on faults that might be in the doe. Sometimes its better to try and improve one thing at a time in a Holland and if one of his "parts" is better than the same part on the doe then I would breed them! Good Luck!! :)

Ps have you posted any pics of the kits they have already produced?

She is pretty and my untrained eye cant see any fault on her (other that she is a big girl) Here is a picture of her.

I need to get more pictures of her. She had a very wide hind end lol. Her mom was SH's Jaylo. (Where she gets her hind end lol)

I have posted some of the first litter they have together. They are only three weeks old.
I posted on colors and the colony one (my poor buck is in the title)
