How to get doe to gain weight : Commercial Feeding and Supplements

Hello, my doe recently had her first litter. She lost so weight while nursing (her kits are weaned), I want her to gain some weight back before I re-breed her. Any suggestions on how to gain her weight back in a healthy way?

Add some oatmeal and a few black oil sunflower seeds to her pellets? A bit of calf manna? Some sort of grain, although not corn, is what I'll supplement their diets with then they've got kits. With nursing does, they're free fed as much as they want and with the higher nutritional foods although does with larger litters will still lose some weight.

Pumpkin seed is another good weight gainer.

Make sure her water supply is clean and plentiful, if it's a bottle, make sure it's functioning well.

Oh, good call, Zass! If they don't have enough water they won't eat as much. One of the ways I know when to check the water system is when they don't eat up all their feed.
