How much Corid per gallon of water? For Holland Lops, Mini Rex and Netherland Dwarfs.

Thank you.

Corid.jpg <br /><br /> -- Sat Oct 31, 2015 9:14 pm -- <br /><br /> I found this conversion calculator in another rabbittalk thread
http://www.morfz.com/rx/drugcalc.html

I find the "Amprolium 9.6%" from the drop down list, enter 3 lb rabbit, and it gives me the following:
Mean Recommended Dose21.7724352 mg
Dosage range: 16 mg/kg or 1 mL/7 kg
Frequency: q24h for 5 days
Info/Warning: Thiamine deficiency. Dosage related neural disturbance, depression, anorexia, diarrhea, polioencephalomalacia (PEM).

But I can't figure out how to mix it with 1 gallon of water.

Help. Thank you!

It's given by weight of the animal. Here's a calculator to figure that out.

http://www.corid.com/Pages/Calculator.aspx

Just put in how many rabbits, "preventive" or "5 day treatment" and average weight.

You don't have yo put in prices, that is just to track cost per animal.

Thank you. But then when you put that in 1 gallon of water doesn't it dilute it too much?

Sorry about that. The calculator is used to give it directly to the rabbit oral. From the other thread you were asking about this. http://rabbittalk.com/topic11212.html

...Found! Amprolium 9.6%

But how much to mix per gallon of water for 3 to 4 lb rabbits?
That's the stuff.

Give a 4 pound rabbit .19cc a day for 5 days. (.0475cc per pound/ oral) ORAL and they don't like it.

I gave you the link to the calculator in your other thread.

In water: " Merial, the manufacturer of Corid, suggests mixing 1 teaspoon of Corrid 9.6% liquid solution with 1 gallon of water and offering this as the sole source of water for 5 days."

Good luck!
