What exactly does that mean?

, I take it as bottle fed and/or raised in house away from mom.

But I'm not sure if that is what others mean.
 
There's various meanings, depending on who is saying it and why. If there's newborns that can't be fed by mom for some reason, those are 'hand raised bottle babies'.

If they're young rabbits that have been socialized, then they're 'hand raised' when they actually mean 'handled a lot'.

Or if they are a seller trying to sell some sort of rambunctious rabbit and pass it off as a docile pet, well, perhaps then it can be 'hand raised' as well. ;)
