What options do you have? You need the shaded gene in there somewhere - from sable martens, shagoutis, smoke pearls, or sable points if you can't find any sables.
You need something with the sable gene (seal, sable, from a seal parent, or proven to produce sables), you need something with preferably himi but rew can work, and you need it to be self so if you use agoutis they must carry self or you breed an agouti to a self and then breed the offspring back to the self to set the gene. The farther you get from the ideal genes the more generation of combos it will take to make sables. The problem is a sable is a sable gene and a lower gene like a himi or rew. If you have 2 sable genes you have a seal and either of the higher genes (chinchilla or full color) the color will not be right. Generally the American Sable breed is made up of seal, sable, and "pointed white" which are himis. All of them self and black based. They are a self black rabbit with 1 sable and 1 himi gene.
