I got that sweet french angora doe.

She has some big matts, but long fur. I don't want to shave her if I don't have to. So far I'm working out the matts like I would a poodle. lol Being a dog groomer has it's advantages! I have every tool known to groomerkind. :)

Here's some photos. Advice would be welcome.

Her fur looks glorious brushed out! :clap2:

Whatever you are doing, keep doing it. :D

Well, I got another 2 matts out tonight. She's SO patient. I've been kinda pulling the matt into a couple chunks and then I hold it and am brushing it out. There are a couple raw spots where I brushed too much. I am trying REALLY hard not to.

Probably 9-10 matts left to go..... So a week of this and she'll be matt free?

I split the mats with my fingers too, be it a dog, cat, or rabbit. Rabbit skin is so much more sensitive than dog or cat skin that it bruises really easily even holding the mat. I think you are bound to get a bit of bruising no matter how cautious you are. :(

I bet she feels so much better where the mats aren't pulling on her that she probably feels it is worth a bit of temporary discomfort. :)

Sounds like you've got it down, but my, what big ears she has! I didn't notice it before, but those things are huge!

She's still adorable though. :)

Do you have any idea on her age? By her size it looks like she should be getting into her first junior coat. If that's the case once you get the mats out and that first baby coat grooming shouldn't be too tedious.
