Fur rabbit coat

For something like a coat, you would need pelts from older rabbits, at least 6 months old and older, because the younger rabbits have thin, fragile skin, and because older rabbits have thicker fur. Winter pelts have the most fur.

Never made a coat I have thought about it many times , I have made many pairs of mittens everyone seems to enjoy them nice and warm

Good question. I don't really know but I've thought about it to. The only thing that really makes me wonder more than anything though is what about if they get wet. I know that with tanned furs when they get wet they end up having to be re-broken so I don't know if the same thing would apply to the coat.
Only certain tanning methods require you to re-break the leather once tanned. If you use some kind of chemical tan, it wouldn't need it.
