Here are the pictures of my meat rabbit breed experiment. The white rabbits in the photo are 8 weeks today. The Black rabbits are 6.5 weeks today. They are all outside in chicken/rabbit coops right now to grow out. One group is 5 and one is 4. They are all males. The group of 5 has a little more room so I think it works out to the same per rabbit. The black ones are Blue silver fox buck to Cali/ nzw mix doe. The white are NZW doe to NZW /Cali mix buck.
Weights:
Black buck-59 oz
Black buck-58oz other smaller cage
White buck-48 oz
White buck- 49oz
White buck- 51oz
Unless noted from the large cage.

So black IS slimming because I was surprised to find that the younger cross (black) out weighed the older cross by an average of 10 oz. I thought it would be the same.

I've also noticed that completely black rabbits tend to look smaller than they are. You can't always trust your eyes.
