Colliepup didn't want a small pony anymore, so we have upgraded! Marley is a blue roan Nakota Mustang mare, about 13 hands 2. My farrier and his daughter started her 3 years ago, but she has just sat around for the last couple of years, so is getting a bit of a tune-up. They only put 30 days on her originally, but she remembers everything, is very soft, and has a willing attitude. She is just a little rusty. Colliepup rode her in the round pen for the first time today!

Check out her feet- they haven't been trimmed in three years!

Thanks guys! She is just a couple miles away from us, on the valley floor. Firstpup and Queenpup rode their horses over to see her today.

I love our mountains- we do live in a beautiful area, don't we? :D

The pups know they are lucky to live out in the country and have all these critters- but, no, I don't think they realize how lucky since they've grown up this way.

I would have given anything to live like this when I was a kid. I considered myself fortunate to have an empty lot overgrown with weeds as my "wild place"... and I had to walk barefoot over broken glass, on hot pavement, uphill, both ways, to get there.

She's a pretty girl, that's for sure! You are going to have to pack a suitcase of carrots when you come to feed to the horses and bunnies... and a Toblerone for me!

She's beautiful! Looks very healthy and well-proportioned, too. :)

Thanks Miss M! She is really a small horse, not a pony, so she doesn't have that weird conformation that is so common in ponies. Marley is big enough for me to ride, too, which is nice.

You can come ride our horses any time!
