We don't have a bunny yet so I'm curious how much they chew. I've read reviews online for different hutches where the rabbits have basically used the porch of the hutch as a chew toy. Our neighbors bunny has chewed on its hutch too. Is there a way to discourage chewing, do they chew on people (like puppies do when teething) What else do I need to know about chewing? Thanks soooo much for all the help!

They chew a lot

They do it to wear down their teeth, out of boredom and just for fun

The best option is to make their cage out of wire or offer plenty of branches to gnaw on instead but they may still chew the wooden frame of a hutch

The only time I've had a rabbit nibble on me was when I had food residue - salty or sweet - on my fingers

I've been bitten by rabbits, usually when trying to take out cage aggressive ones
