The problem is that the buck may breed the doe just as she kindeled and accidentally stomp the kits if he is eager. But mostly, it's a bit much to ask the doe to get pregnant and give birth every 4 weeks.. it wears on her. That's why I wouldn't keep a buck in (and I want to control breeding ;) )

Some do keep the bucks in their colonies and say the does manage it. I suppose it's possible.

I keep a colony with does together.

I find the guy talking in the video to be very annoying in the way he talked, so I only watched a minute :p
 
I think he's saying the myth is that the buck will eat the babies?
I can just imagine the rabblet pancake that would result if I tried that with some of mine. :/
