Broken red NZ - finally!

At long last I have produced a broken red new zealand. This has taken several generations of careful crossing and culling between broken blacks and reds, and I often despaired of ever getting results. Red New Zealands are fairly rare in Ontario and I haven't seen or heard of any broken reds up here at all. I did import one from the US, but she died of entropathy shortly after getting here.

This is a 20 day old doe. I have another in the nestbox and hopefully several more to come in the next few months.

She's lovely, Moonkitten! I think broken reds are among the prettiest rabbits.
