The discussion in the comments about shelter over population made me want to explain the obvious. more rabbits need to be eaten. But it wasn't worth registering for.

I just don't understand the logic. There are too many animals and that's wrong but don't kill the animals because that is also wrong. What do they want? really? because there is no logical end. you can't own them, cage them, eat them, release them in the wild. What do they want you to do with the animals? I just don't get it.

Let's make all the ARA's take in and feed and care for all the the unowned, unwanted, unloved, uneaten animals in their immediate vicinity and see what happens.

I think I'll get a pet cow and then I'll start a movement to end the slaughtering of potential pet cows. All of you cow eaters are heartless!

My pet lettuce has such a green attitude, and the radishes have a spicy sense of humor!

We should all eat plastic food! Oh, no- wait- petroleum products are BAD.

See, and that's the craziest thing...all those vegan products....fake leather, fake fur, plastic shoes, etc etc etc...are HORRIBLE to make...they emit VOC's and use 10X the fossil fuels to make.

Even the 'fake' meats...uber processed, full of gmo soy & corn, high in everything bad...I don't get it.

I met someone the other day who ripped me up and down telling me Christians should all be vegans...

Oy this stuff gets me so fired up.

Who among us doesn't love their plants too? I feel so saddened if I or the dogs trample my bulbs as they are emerging from the soil, or I accidentally pull a baby plant when I am weeding. I always apologize. ("Is MSD talking to herself again?" "Oh, no, not to worry- she's talking to the plants.") Don't even get me started when it comes to pruning trees- I know it benefits them, but I still find it hard to do.

We met a Hindu gentleman and he was telling us his parents are strict "???", and they will not eat animals, their eggs, or any reproductive parts of plants- no fruit or seeds- nor any plants like carrots where the entire plant is "killed". I'm not sure exactly what is left to eat following those guidelines... lettuce? Spinach? I didn't get the chance to ask him at the time, but when we see him next, I will do so.

You want to know what really irritates me about the "rabid Greenies"? They shout about pollution and the horrors of petroleum products, but have to have the newest cell phone, blackberry, laptop, or other cool techno gadget, replacing a perfectly usable one... they also are unaware that the world is less polluted today than it has EVER been.

For hundreds of years there was a "profession" amongst the lower classes of dredging the Thames in England- at that time a stinking quagmire of filth- wherein all manner of refuse was dumped, tanneries polluting the river with the water from their process, chamber pots dumped directly into the water by those that lived close enough to do so, etc., etc.

When I was a kid I bemoaned the fact that I was born in the wrong century to my mother. I wanted the idyllic pre-industrial lifestyle, where horses were the only mode of travel, and the air was sweet. She pointed out that the streets were absolutely filthy at the time- horse droppings and other refuse everywhere, people chucking the contents of their chamber pots out the windows, people dying of lung issues from cooking and heating with smoky fires... children ravaged by disease such as cholera, dysentery, and typhoid... the reality is not such a pretty picture, and can still be seen firsthand in the undeveloped areas of the world today.

I will now step off of my :soap: and cede the floor...

I think an article bashing those who "take' from the system should be published. Point out how parasitic this type of person really is... I mean if you don't produce at least some of your own food or even other goods then you are just sooooo useless. Oh oh i know!!! lets get politicians to enact a LAW that makes everyone produce their own meat and veggies!!! Wow, doesn't that sound invasive?? Possibly even a trampling of your rights? BINGO!!!

The preceding was my opinion only... but its what the ARA's are essentially doing, trying to get their own opinions made into laws..:(

Anybody up for submitting a rebuttal to the NY Daily News? Anonymity is essential, of course; it is legitimate to cite the credible terrorist threat of having rabbits seized in the night - as just happened recently to two different people in Portland, Oregon. Animal "Rights" Radicals (ARR) have contempt for our laws unless they can be used to serve their agenda. Since the acts of ARR are emotionally-based, they are extremely unstable, like nitroglycerin. They know nothing of reason and logic and those at the top - holding the reins - want to keep them that way, gullible and unthinking.

__________Mon Jan 23, 2012 4:41 pm __________

Responding to Summrluv's understandable frustrations over obvious absurdities, I wish to offend no one, but am compelled to state that everything will make perfect sense once we recognize the ultimate goal has absolutely nothing to do with animal "rights," veganism, saving the trees, owls, earth, global warming, ad nauseum infinitum. Those movements are only meant to distract and wear us down - divide and conquer is a proven tactic. The ultimate goal is total and absolute domination of the masses - globally - in every physical, intellectual and spiritual sense.

And that Christians are judged for not being vegans reveals gross, willful ignorance of Scripture - for which they will be held accountable. Our very life is sourced in the shedding of innocent blood...how could we then deny Him and embrace a different god? But after all, isn't that what the ages-old struggle is all about?

Meanwhile, we are called to keep our positions - "manning" our posts - and fighting the good fight, subduing evil however we can - wherever we can.

There are so many articles I would comment on, if I didn't have to register. Register for 20 different sites? No.
