Not sure where to put this....

Ruby is getting ready for her second litter! She started to make a nest in her hay pile a couple days ago. But now she has finally making it in her hide-hole that is also her nest box! July 7th will be day 30. Hopefully she has a larger litter. Last time she had one normal healthy kit and one very large DOA.

So she had 5 kits. 4 alive and one DOA. She cleaned them all very well (including the DOA) and pulled a ton of hair. I will get some pictures tomorrow! I worked 2am-2pm today so was the first to see them, he thinks that all 4 are black. I did a little peak and it looked like one was a lot lighter than the others... we will see.

They are super wiggly and vocal! I think Topaz (the sire and ruby's next door neighbor) is more upset with us getting them out than ruby is....
Two of them have a small white spot on there head. The parents are supposed to be 100% silver fox (we have pedigrees). Is it possible they are not or is this something that pops up in silver foxes?
 
it's a silver fox thing. some rabbits with throw little stars on the forehead, but they usually go away as the kits grow older. they'll be a DQ if they don't, but none of them look big enough to really cause issues.

Two ("spot" & "little black one") decided to venture out after I cleaned out the nest!
